http://www.imagingtheheavens.co.uk/index.htm A great site with loads of fantastic images and information. Gordon helped me out with endless advice when I was having difficulty overcoming numerous obstacles. Gordon is an expert with narrow band imaging and has started a webgroup dedicated to light polluted astro photography;- http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/light_polluted_astrophotography/

http://www.iankingimaging.com/ Ian King is really helpful, sells all things astro imaging related and gives sound advice. I wish I'd found him before I bought my first scope as I'd have spent my money differently. I bought my second scope and imaging camera from him late 2008.

Another Sussex astronomer, Steve from The Chanctonbury Observatory. I e-mailed Steve and asked if he'd mind swapping links on our websites. His website contains amazing images, especially his deep sky ones, all sorts of technical information and he's written a book on astro photography for the beginner.

http://www.iceinspace.com.au/index.php?home A friendly and helpful astronomy site and forum from Australia. It's nice to see images from the Southern hemisphere not seen from England.

The BBC Sky at Night forum. There's a lot more to this site than just the forum.

http://www.singastro.org/index.php Yet another forum I joined. As with all the forums it has a very friendly atmosphere. Amazingly I've had loads of visitors to my site from Singastro after placing a link to it on posts I've added. Singapore is shown as fourth on my Clustrmaps table of visitors just behind the UK, the USA and Australia.

I've had a lot of teething problems with my LX200R, mainly because I didn't understand where I was going wrong. The Meade4M Community has an abundance of knowledgeable and helpful members (Mark Sibole in particular) ready to solve your Meade product related problems.

You can select forecasts for numerous towns across the UK and download infrared satellite information updated ever hour for the past 24 hours. Seeing for yourself where the clouds are heading is a good addition to their forecast. |
